IBEX Industries began in 1983 by serving the New Zealand meat industry by importing and selling capital equipment and consumables. From 1985 to 1998, IBEX represented FIE in the trimmer market and generated a strong market share for the FIE trimmer range in New Zealand.
With this success, IBEX entered the Australian market in 1997, as a joint venture with FIE. A year later, FIE sold its intellectual property to a major competitor, leaving IBEX determined to develop its own IBEX trimming system by using years of knowledge and experience of the meat industry and the trimmer product. During this time, IBEX also continued to develop the Australian market with agencies.

IBEX continues to represent bandsaw blades for all saws, trimmers and several lines of quality agents, and continues to provide indispensable products and service to the New Zealand market and the rest of the world through distributors.
IBEX trimmers are available in both electric and pneumatic versions, including the new EZY2 TRIM series, in response to changing market needs.
Years of knowledge and experience
IB Food-Machines is based in Urk, and for good reason. This is where our founder Ingmar Baars has seen firsthand how the local fish industry works. When he got the opportunity to become a supplier of processing machines for this industry, he grabbed it with both hands. Knowing well what entrepreneurs needed, IB Food-Machines made a strong start.
We now also work for meat and poultry producers and supply over fifteen renowned brands. Since 2024, we have also been the proud owner of portioning specialist Borncut. This demonstrates not only our nose for quality, but also our ambition for growth. At the same time we are always close, accessible and personal. So that you have a reliable partner at your side.
